Pizza Soup

February 29th, 2012

A few weeks ago, I was really craving pizza, but decided to make something a little different. Pizza Soup! Which is pretty much as good as regular pizza, minus a few calories. This recipe was so incredibly easy to come up with and prepare. Just throw your favorite pizza toppings into a slow cooker and that’s it.

Tonight, we had pizza soup again and here are the ingredients we used.

Equal parts tomato sauce and water
Ground sausage, browned
Pepperoni (cut into small pieces)
Diced green chiles
Italian seasoning
Chicago Deep Dish Pizza Pizazz
Onion powder
Cheddar cheese
Breadsticks (on the side)

Honestly, I did not really measure anything out, so serving amounts may vary to suit your own bunch. Enjoy!

Namaste

Now you know how to greet people in Hindi! (That’s what my flickr homepage tells me.)

Hi everyone! How is it going? What? You’ve noticed my absence? Ahh, I see. Well, it’s good to be back! I think about posting here a lot, but most of the time, something comes up that way too easily pulls me away from what I want to do. These little cuties of mine are growing up too quickly. As you may well know, they come with great responsibility and recently, I feel my position as wife & mother have left little room for much else, which is ok, because this is where I am now. Someday that will all change and I will long for the days when they needed me like they need me now.

And Chris is working hard, but has enjoyed having more time to spend at home. (We don’t mind it either!)

Luckily, toting around a camera doesn’t take much time away from what’s important, so I’ve been able to keep up with my 365 + 1 project for 2012. At times I have had to squeeze in a not so great pic at the end of a day, but it has all been worth it to be able to document something from each and everyday of our lives. Even the little things…

So, hopefully that kind of brings you up to date on us. In a perfect world, I will be back later this week with something more, but we all know the world isn’t perfect. Only time will tell. Hope to see you soon!

I May Be Crazy

January 1st, 2012

Happy 2012! I hope your holidays were splendid. We have had an amazingly busy couple of weeks, but we are finally settling into our new (temporary) home. And if I weren’t busy enough with unpacking and preparing for Chris’ new job/Pinky’s new school, I have decided to tackle another photography project for the New Year. I will be taking a photo a day for 2012. I might be crazy or maybe to just a glutton for punishment. Either way, you can keep up with me here.

Oh and here is the first photo of the installment…
