The Busy Life

Hello Dear Readers! Wow, have we been super busy around here. I have so much to update you on, but hardly anytime, so I thought I would go over some of the highlights of our past week.

-Preparing to move is hard work! Especially when you are doing it by yourself with a 5 year old attached to one leg and 2 furry golden retrievers hooked to the other. Chris has been in Boston working for over a week and I’m certainly not complaining one bit, but doing all of this by myself has been somewhat trying. Luckily, I’ve had my friends and family to count on and they’ve really helped me to keep my sanity. Thank you!

-Last weekend, we had a special visitor. My step-bro came to visit us from Chicago and we had a great time.

While he was here, Chris was lucky enough to score us some great seats at a NHL game and Pinky had the time of her life. (So did the rest of us!)

Also:

-I’ve successfully unclogged a drain, put air in my tires, and moved a large dresser down a flight of stairs by myself.

-I realize that these accomplishments are small compared to what I want to do and what others do on a normal basis.

-I plan to finish patching and painting, change out our light switches and sockets, tile our foyer and upstairs bath, revamp the previously mentioned dresser, and pack the rest of our belongings before Chris comes back home. (I’m a glutton for punishment.)

-The Container Store has too many things that I want. Seriously, that store was created with me in mind. This, this and this all came home with me today, along with many other smaller items. They didn’t have my shiny trash can in stock and I’m waiting on the shoe thing until we move.

And I just wanted to add that Walmart has the best smelling Fresh Cotton candles, ever. Buy one. Now.
