Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!!! So far, we have enjoyed a relaxing weekend with yummy food (like the waffles below.) Tonight we will be heading out to see the fireworks over the harbor!

Why, hello there! We are finally getting back into our routine after being gone last weekend. It was a short trip, but we had a GREAT time. Where did we go you ask? Well, my cousin, Derek just happened to get married to his true love…

And we couldn’t pass up a chance to see some family and dance a little. Here we are all dolled up:

The wedding ceremony was beautiful and Sweet Pea was on his best behavior during it. He showed up all of the other crying babies by sleeping quietly through almost the whole service. Sweet Pea’s dress clothes just happen to be a handmade project done by me a few hours before the wedding. (I’m good at procrastinating.) Keep a look out for the tutorial coming soon!

Pinky was a little sad though. This was her first wedding in quite a few years in which she was not the flower girl. However, she stole the show on the dance floor at the reception and blew all of the other kids’ dance techniques out of the water. Lucky for you, I happened to catch a few of her antics during Michael Jackson’s “Billy Jean” on video. You may remember that she has an affinity for the gloved one. Check out her moves! She even break dances for a moment.

I’ll be taking a monthly photo of Sweet Pea on a big black and white calendar for the first year of his life for a sense of size and scale.

Pinky is sure growing up! Sometimes I forget that she is already 6.5 years old. She has really changed this past year and has wanted to start doing so many things on her own. She takes a shower by herself, gets herself breakfast in the morning, attempts to do her own hair, reads books to her baby brother and the list goes on. I know that I have to let her grow up, but nobody told me it would be this hard!
