6 Down/9 To Go
Well, with less than 1 month left, we still have the majority of our Fall Fifteen to complete. Hopefully, we will be able to finish them all, but as of now, I will not hold my breath. How’s that for a “go get ’em” attitude? I guess we shall see.
Yesterday, we made a trip to the cemetary to attempt some gravestone rubbings. I thought this would be a cool little project that we could do and because our cemetary is pretty spooky, it fit right in with whole Halloween thing.
We took with us the needed supplies: Parchment paper, crayons, scissors and some masking tape. After Pinky chose the headstone that she wanted to try and rub, I cut a piece of parchement paper to size, taped it up and she got to work, with a little help of course.

Since the headstone (from 1783) was pretty big, we weren’t able to get the whole thing, so we opted just to do the top carving. Here, Pinky is adding the word tombstone to the photo. Her choice, not mine.
Although the parchment paper kind of worked, I think next time we will try something thinner, such as rice paper, if we can find it. We will definitely try to go back at some point and get a few more rubbings though. It’s just a matter of finding the time…
