Tidying Up
With our impending big move to the East Coast, I decided it was time to start planning some organization for the new place, even though the new place is not technically picked out yet. I have a lot of ideas of how I want to make our stuff more functional and accessible and the first part of this organizational journey was to go through and purge the stuff we already have. That included clothes, decor, furniture and even a few toys. (No worries, the toys were broken or missing pieces.) We ended up having to make several trips to donate stuff that we no longer wanted/needed, but now the house is less cluttered.
To keep our clutter to a minimum in the future, I’ve been eyeing several storage solutions for our new home. Click on the photos below to learn more about each product.
I plan on buying several of these baskets and painting them white to go into a shelving unit which will store toys in Pinky’s room.

Hopefully we can keep her toys wrangled, especially if we use these cute little tags I made to go on the baskets above.

In the kitchen, I would love this shiny waste receptacle.

For Christmas, I received several of these white bins as a gift from my lovely parents. I think these will work great in the pantry to keep all of our dry food corralled.

Moving to our the master bedroom, I would love to convert all of our existing plastic clothes hangers to these sleek wooden ones. We did this in our coat closet and it looks so much more cohesive now.

I also think it would be nice to own this cute white shoe cubby. At least it would be better than the laundry basket currently housing all of our out of season shoes.

So, there you have it. Do you have any organizational secrets that you are dying to share? Recommendations? Let us know what you think!
