These things have had constant play in our house and I don&#8217;t see that dying down anytime soon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ruleroftheelves\/7900584306\/\" title=\"{243\/366} Ball Box by ruleroftheelves, on Flickr\"><img src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8178\/7900584306_eb3aeae9b8_z.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"429\" alt=\"{243\/366} Ball Box\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><center>But the box they came screamed more &#8220;baby wino&#8221; and less &#8220;toddler toys.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ruleroftheelves\/7901545716\/\" title=\"Ball Box 4 by ruleroftheelves, on Flickr\"><img src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8305\/7901545716_768cacde97_z.jpg\" width=\"458\" height=\"640\" alt=\"Ball Box 4\"><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>So, after the handy dandy wine box ended up squashed and flattened on my living room floor several times, I decided to give it a makeover and reinforce it at the same time. The best part was that this project was totally free and super duper easy!<\/p>\n<p>After securing it with way too much tape, I hot glued some leftover fabric around the box and secured it over the top and bottom too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ruleroftheelves\/7901540656\/\" title=\"Ball Box 3 by ruleroftheelves, on Flickr\"><img src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8169\/7901540656_e25fa8d817_z.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"429\" alt=\"Ball Box 3\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then, to cover it a little more, I put thick black cardstock on the inside, which also gave it a more finished look.  (Nevermind those little glue strings I neglected to remove before photographing.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/ruleroftheelves\/7901537684\/\" title=\"Ball Box 2 by ruleroftheelves, on Flickr\"><img src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8172\/7901537684_076682c2d4_z.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"429\" alt=\"Ball Box 2\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And that&#8217;s all.  It seriously took like 10 minutes and cost less than all of the fancy schmancy storage containers in stores today.  Lesson learned:  Use what you have, people.
